Working through a claim

Working through a claim

WhisperClaims questions change dynamically depending on the information provided. You and your client do not have to answer unnecessary questions, and the system goes into more detail only as and when that is appropriate.

Questions are multiple choice, or use drop-down menus or sliders. With almost no free-text entry, questions are easy for you or your client to complete.

As you complete the questions in the question set, the progress tracker on the left of the WhisperClaims window shows your progress:

  • A green dot shows that you have completed a section

  • A blue dot shows that you have started, but not yet completed, work on a section

  • A grey dot shows that you have not yet started work on a section

The questions must be answered in the order in which they are presented, due to the dynamic nature of the question set. However, once you have answered a question you can return to that question by either:

  • Clicking the  button to move back through the questions, or

  • Clicking on any question or section labelled with a  indicator to move back to an already-answered question

Any responses you have already input are retained unless you change something.

Note that the  button is greyed out until you have answered the question; when you have answered the question, the button changes to

When completing the questions in the Question set, you get instant feedback about the answer(s) you give to a question:

  • Where the answer is not expected to give problems with the claim, you see a message like:

  • Where the answer might give rise to problems, or require you to answer further questions, you see a warning message like:

  • If the answer does give rise to problems, you see an error message like:

Importantly, if you select a value which means that the client cannot proceed with the claim (for example, indicating that the client company is in administration), you see a message similar to the above and the  button changes to an  button. If you want to continue with the claim you must re-review the claim to address the problem.
